30% reduction in energy consumption costs

Thanks to the lighting engineering study carried out during the design phase, fewer light fixtures were installed and light sources that used less energy were used, while enhancing the light in the spaces. The activity was completed in mid-2019, also generating a reduction in energy consumption and related costs, with savings of around 30%.

In early 2019, using FSI's intervention, we started a relamping operation in one of the logistics facilities by replacing the old lighting system with a more modern one consisting of LED lights.

Considering the outcome of the lighting engineering study carried out during the design phase, the lighting fixtures were reduced in number and wattage, while increasing the light in the spaces. The activity was completed in mid-2019, also generating an approximate 30% reduction in energy consumption and related costs.

In the same year, with Eco2zone, E.S.Co of the Fervo Group, we also completed the set-up and start-up of the Building Energy Management System (BEMS) for the logistics centres of two branches. BEMS is an advanced energy consumption management system for a building, aimed at optimising energy consumption through continuous monitoring throughout the life cycle of the asset itself.

The purpose of the project was to continuously monitor logistics assets through real-time data provided by the plants themselves. Knowing the data and analysing them made it possible to achieve an optimal level of energy consumption management for the entire building by modifying and adjusting the different parameters as needed. The ultimate goal is to achieve a comprehensive and reliable energy management framework with minimal use of resources.

In three years of energy management, CO2 emissions were reduced by approximately 78,000 tonnes.
